It’s only been a few days since we all got back from our trip to Napa, but WOW! Is all I can seem to say about my experience.
This was my first time being invited to a Design Hounds by Modenus. Modenus is an amazing resource for design professionals and enthusiasts alike. They are always covering the latest and greatest in Interior Design and brands. I was extremely honored to be one of the 28 Designers chosen to come on this experience.

Our week kicked off on Monday evening, where we had an orientation and got to meet everyone. There were many times that I felt “star-struck” with these Designers that I have admired from afar, on Instagram and Facebook! What was even better is how down to earth and open everyone was.
Tuesday was the first official day of learning, and man – did we hit the ground running!
We were greeted by the welcoming staff at Signature Kitchen Suites upon our arrival.
Their brand new experience center was AMAZING. It was decked out to the nines with IMAX screens, a smart home room, beautiful light fixtures and insanely designed vignette kitchens. I literally felt like a kid in a candy store!
How gorgeous is this?? This was only one of the many vignette kitchens they had! Every kitchen was unique in styling and of course featured the beautiful appliances from Signature Kitchen Suite.
We had a lovely spread of breakfast and then met with the General Manager of Signature Kitchen Suite, Zach, who shared with us the story behind Signature Kitchen Suite.
They are a new brand in the luxury appliance market and are owned by LG. Breaking into a saturated market is not easy, and their team had a lot of work to do to show people this is not just another high end appliance.
They shared with us their branding message – True to Food™ – and this was very clear from the beginning. This is why they invested in a brand new facility in Napa and have surrounded themselves with trade partners that are highly esteemed in the culinary world.
What really stuck out to me was their branding and messaging. Their story videos were so well done.

They are targeting a generation that values quality over quantity, that likes the latest in technology, and that enjoys cooking. They call their target market a Technicurean™.
This was my favorite appliance of theirs. This is the Dual Fuel Pro Range – 48” gas cooktop, induction cooktop, and sous vide bay – all in one! This appliance won Best of KBIS 2019!
I would totally sport one of these. It is so beautiful and you can just tell they really put attention to detail in their products. They also have the capability of being Wi-Fi enabled, where you can have on demand customer support! What I also loved is that they have a 3 day policy of getting your appliance serviced. How cool is that?!
Their hospitality went above and beyond. Their fridges were stocked with beverages, we were fed five course meals two days in a row, and their team went every extra effort to make sure we were comfortable.
We even got a live demo from Chef AJ from CREA.
In between the wine tastings, food and appliance education, we got to hear from some amazing speakers.
Carla Aston shared with us her knowledge of Pinterest, LuAnn Nigara gave us all inspiration and confidence to get our systems in place, Claire Jefford shared with us the world of Video Marketing, and Leslie Carothers gave us some amazing insight into Passive Income.
Reflecting back on this trip, I am so grateful to have been a part of this. It takes effort and time to be away from your business, but making connections, furthering your education and meeting your peers is also equally as important.
