When I met them onsite, the building was pretty much an empty shell. No lighting, metal studs, barely any drywall, and concrete floors that were uneven.
There are two rooms that were divided by a CMU (concrete block) wall, so we had a door cut into it and made sure we had our ducting cut through as well.
Let’s just say we had A LOT of work to do!
Here are some of the BEFORE Images:
First and foremost, we had to make sure the Reformer Machines would be able to fit nicely in the space, so we did a space plan to show how the layout would work. Those long rectangles are the Reformer Machines.
Next up was the Lighting. As you know, lighting can make or break a space.
I took on the help of the guys over at Acropolis to ensure we had the proper amount of lighting for that space. Next, we did our Reflected Ceiling Plan and gave it to the electricians.
Since this was a shell, we really had a lot of coordination to do with the electrical permit and the City. Lots of back and forth, but we got our permit and were ready to rock n’ roll.
After the Drywallers did their part, we brought in our Painters. Painting can totally transform a space, so we wanted to make sure we picked the right colors.
Our intention was to create a space that felt inviting, fun and comfortable. We had some ideas for fun pops of color, but ultimately wanted to keep the palette neutral.
We wanted to bring down the ceiling height so we opted for a flat black (Tricorn by Sherwin Williams) and then did Pure White by Sherwin Williams for the walls. MC Etter Painting did a great job for us!
The pop of color came in the custom logo that we had made for us. We had the letters P U R E cut out on a CNC machine and then hand painted by AC Vintage Designs in the PURE PILATES custom pantone color.
It was after this point that EVERYTHING started coming together. We added Vinyl Plank flooring for the durability and cleanliness factor, fun bright tile for the entry (note the color) and then of course, the accents and lighting.

Light, bright, fun and airy! I’m so happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to see how amazing they do!
